How awful for you, very sorry to hear that. All the best to you and his other good friends and family getting through such a difficult time
God I’m sorry to hear that Pete.
Shocking and difficult for you. Take care
Very upsetting situation Pete. My thoughts are with you and those around you. Take care and I hope you will feel able to return to the Forum soon.
Terrible news, very sorry to hear that.
I’ve just seen this, Pete. So sorry, mate. It happened to me three years ago, and I still think about my pal every day.
If it helps, you are much loved by your many forum friends.
David
You may have noticed that I’m back, thanks for the kind words earlier.
Finally got back into the studio (see photo) and listen to some music again this week. It’s been over a month since John’s passing and while everyone is still quite blue things are slowly getting back to normal. Small town communities are fantastic at rallying around when things happen, they’re put their arms around the family with all kinds of help.
I’d only known John for 4 years but I’d felt I’d known him for much longer, guess that’s why he was a good friend he made you feel comfortable. He’ll be sadly missed.
Mrs Pete and I have decided to sell the building, family want me to move closer to hospital. It’s been on the market for a week and we’ve had 3 inspections and one contract issued already. If anyone’s interested in seeing it just Google McGraths Gloucester NSW, I’d post the link but I’m sure Richard would remove it. ![]()
Health wise things have improved a little since Christmas but I’m still going into hospital early next month for some tests. Got chemo/immunotherapy the week after that and hopefully 3 months before I get prodded again.
Big celebrations this weekend my eldest daughter turns 50 on Friday. Off to dinner with her tomorrow night and then a large party on Saturday night.
I’ll need all next week to recover.
It’s good to see you painting again Pete and thanks for the update. Keep on posting and wishing you all the luck with your intended move. Upwards and onwards!
