The Grand Cafe

I once flew to England to pick up a secondhand AV amp, which was boxed. When checking it in I answered truthfully “no” when asked if I’d packed it myself: I wishEd I hadn’t! I was directed to the special items check in (which is also the oversize checkin), queuing behind people with sporting gear and musical instruments, to tgen be asked a lot of questions, required to open the package, and wait for scrutiny of x-ray: overall it took about half an hour. Fortunately I’d arrived at tge airport early.

We all have that thought from time to time - I just end up buying more equipment to get over it ha

It would be easier than flying to the UK!

Time for a hazy IPA :+1:

Might be nice to fine a used 300 for the price of a new 250, but I’ve never seen one for sale here.

Im hanging out for the mystical 272 replacement. I can see it, feel it and almost touch it but then I wake up and it’s gone.:grin::grin:

I’ve maintained contact with Mahesh since he left. He has asked me to reply for him, as he does not wish to rejoin forums:

I just want them to know that i thank them for enquiring about me and i am fine thus far.

Please send them my best regards and ask them all to get vaccinated as quickly as possible because thats the only way out of this mess.

Hey @Bevo, how would you rate your 250 with the 252 versus using the SN2/3 as a power amp with the 252?. Just mulling where to if getting the 250 falls over.

Easy - 252 with 250 any day of the week (and night)

A perfect match , made for each other.

So have I. The delivery date I’ve been given is 21-27th…Are you getting the 11” or 12.9”?

Best

David

Bought the 11 inch one thing with the IPad is it seems quite easy to move your old one on so it makes the change to the latest model easier.

I smashed mine so the only moving on will be recycling

I bought the 12.9” but I think the moving process is the same. I was seduced by the mini-LED display. Anyway we can compare notes later!

Are you sure it’s not repairable? My daughter drove her land rover over hers and it cracked the screen big time. The screen was face downwards and the chassis of the thing withstood the weight of the wheel. It cost £50 to get the screen replaced and she was back in business.

No the screen (not just the glass) is buggered. I have 2 huge black lines across it and no pixels also the home button is ruined. Anyway proper Apple glass is so expensive here it’s nearly almost cheaper to replace it. Funny that, think it’s deliberate.
