2 hours ?
Last time I was in Delhi was back in c.1980 ie about 40 years ago and it took about 2 hour to drive to Meerut then. I had assumed that traffic flow had improved dramatically since then ?
A wonderful book. The plundering of Bengal remains shameful to this day.

Is it just me or are Wednesdayâs boring.
I find myself moving my head more since I worked with guys from India together. The wobble gets hilarious when you give a classroom training and the folks in the class wobble synchronously.
How is Mumbai compared to Delhi? I know only the area surrounding Mumbai airport. Delhi is a big disaster, and it still gets worse however I liked the e-rickshaws.
In Delhi what they need is a tube. They have big avenues, they just need to dig them out, put tracks in and cover it again like the London tube early days.
Quiet day here. Anniversary celebration deferred to Friday as I had a school Board of Trustees meeting - just been for a twilight walk around the Harbourside to wake up. Rebecca off school sick, I finished washing the house and cleaned the spa, read a book, then the meeting. The girls are asleep, time for an album before bed.

Without mentioning politics or politicians, non Brits heard all sorts of things that were going to happen after your divorce with Europe. Iâm interested and Iâm sure other are as well to hear if anything has changed. Weâve all read things like potential food storageâs and so on it would be nice to hear how itâs effected (if at all) the ordinary Brit. just things youâve either noticed or not.
Again please no politics as Iâm sure Richard will shut it down quickly.

True years ago if you wanted to call someone in the UK or elsewhere you had to do the maths to workout whatâs the best time to call. Now I just check my iPhone.

Back in the mid 1990s we used to see use some software called âInternet phoneâ , which was a voice plus video tool, to speak to relatives the other side of the world (via a dial-up modem - and, yes, after calculating appropriate time of day). It was very flaky, voice frequently breaking for many seconds before finishing coming though, often with an echo of what had previously been sent, and video on the approx 1.5 inch popup window at best about one frame a second, but most of the time refreshing only after many 10s of seconds. But it was free at a time of ÂŁ1/minute telephone charges, and even a still image but from that very day was so nice compared to plain voice phone. Nowadays we use Facetime, usually with perfect voice and video. It is fantastic really.

I resist video calls or FaceTime âŚstrangely I donât like it.
Much prefer pure voice onlyâŚ
Sometimes video calls come at times when you would rather not take themâŚ
