I’m sure you are

Indeed - and then I probably wouldn’t want a voice call either () in which case not answer, or it is possible to answer only enabling voice, at least with Facetime, which is also a way to deal with occasions of bad connection, reducing data.

They can be a bit inconvenient but it’s great for keeping in touch with grandkids although I’m not a huge fan either.

Lots of metro rail construction work so traffic is not good but Mumbai is faster to get to from place to place due to a smaller area.

Food and entertainment scene is very very good IMO

So many venues for music and plays

Next time you come plan to attend a concert by SoI

It’s very good.

Mumbai has excellent policing and un-intrusive

Very safe for women

2 AM…no problem…cabs or places to eat

My city never sleeps…

But it doesn’t have historical monuments like Delhi

Mumbai is a gateway to the western coast and hidden gems along that side in terms of holiday…

Bade Miya and the adjacent Cafe Mondegar serve up fabulous kebabs and beer respectively. The vibe is great.

Let me know if anything specific…

Maybe I will change my mind when I become grandpa :grinning:

Hopefully..

Strangely I find myself talking more freely on a pure voice call…

I dunno why ?

My wife uses Facetime daily to talk to one or other of her sisters (and Whatsapp text at other times), however having established connection very often one or other, or both, will be in the middle of doing something and the iPad sits there catching occasional glimpses as they move around, just chatting hands-free. Probably 90% of the time tge video is superfluous - except when it comes to chats with nieces having baby or toddler grand-nieces to see! (GrNd children seem a way off yet…)

No way to tell yet - we don’t really leave until the end of the year. That’s when current trade deals will end and any new ones (with Europe) will kick in.

I’ve not heard anything about food shortages except from the doom-and-gloom peddlers. What we will pay for food from EU after the end of 2020 is another matter, as is what the EU pay for the significant quantity of UK produced food.
Food from outside EU, such as Aus, NZ, Africa, Caribbean has (we hope) real opportunities to expand & develop, keeping in mind we already have robust trade links, albeit on EU terms, already established with south & east Africa & the Caribbean

Before this escalates, no politics please, and that includes discussion encompassing “Brexit” related issues. Thank you.

Tho as hominems are not allowed on this forum, my friends @politics and @religion feel discriminated

Try to keep the appreciated nonsense coming!

but IMO we are at a phase now that the B word is a reality @Richard.Dane

so we need to accept and move on

i guess all the folks in the UK & european continent have accepted this reality

so IMO - it will be a touch hard if any discussion on this matter is frowned upon

as far as i see - the UK and the rest of EU will continue to be inter dependent and life will go on…

The world needs a strong UK and a strong EU and also strong moderation in the forum where in the strength is depicted in allowing conversations…

I must say you have been brilliant in this regard…

Maybe someday we meet and it will be my pleasure to treat you to a large beer - or toddy - Indian style !

as @Ardbeg10y says - some appreciated nonsense…

I am among those who havent owned a single i-product ( Apple ) yet…

Understand Steve Jobs was quite strict with the i-phones to his kids and he himself had a rather simple home but with a great music system in it…

great man - i say…

anyone else - not owned an i-product yet ?

Thanks MPW, however, Naim have asked that there be no political discussion (and here I definitely include the divisive subject of Brexit) on this forum. Out of respect to the hosts, I think it’s only right to comply. Otherwise, I can’t see this thread lasting much longer.

No worries @Richard.Dane

My personal view point’s don’t matter as much as our kind host.

Things have changed since the last brexit thread and in that respect brexit is passe.

But I respect the host..so will move on with an infinity head shake as perfected by the Sri Lankans :grinning:

Gotcha !!

What about climate change is that off topic or is there another thread started?

Another thread, but a random comment is ok however I’d rather any discussion keep to the climate change thread.
