Trains in the UK? I thought you were going on holiday, not an adventure trip!

All holidays should be an adventure.

Both Edinburgh and London Heathrow have good and cheap tram / metro connections to the city cente. Heathrow is now connected using the Elizabeth Line to the centre, no need for expensive Heathrow Express tickets anymore.

Iā€™m looking to catch a train from Edinburgh back to London.

Donā€™t travel on a Sunday. Works are often in place without warning and a very nice train ride can be ruined by diversions and running late, even having to change trains unexpectedly and without a buffet car.

Same here in NSW Australia

I never travel on a Saturday or Sunday ,they are always doing track work

Mind you at the moment youā€™re lucky to get a train around Sydney , strikes without warning seems to be the go

We saw this on our holiday

I knew that Germans have a special taste regarding fashion, but Iā€™d not let my wife go into this barbershop.

Today has not been a great day but Iā€™ve driven my car for first time in two months, so I will take that.
Tomorrow I hope to play a cd for first time in same period. Maybe not vinyl though.
Sorry, I know this is not medicai thread but feeling pain is making me feel sorry for myself.
Self indulgent t*at
Anyway more importantly what speaker cable should I choose next :upside_down_face:

Hadnā€™t realised you wonā€™t well (sorry) hope all is ok and on the mend. Youā€™re always welcome to leave your thoughts and concerns here.

When Iā€™m Iā€™ve next we might even try a catch up for a beer or 2.

Hope the cd playing goes well (play something uplifting)

A constant nagging pain is very difficult to deal with on a daily basis. Hope whatever it is will disapate soon.

What a great trip out. It must be very peaceful?

You seem to be a having a fun retirement. No fencing today?

No fencing today but he asked if Iā€™d help him put in another 2 gates next week.

Was a great trip itā€™s only 40 minutes up the road the guy took today has never been there. We were surprised that the snow was still there from 2 nights ago. Retirement is not all itā€™s cracked up to be.:rofl::rofl:

Iā€™m actually working harder than when I was working, I just had a phone call Iā€™m required for more fencing duties tomorrow.

Itā€™s just the beginning. This farmer dude has things sussed.

Or even a replacement bus service for part of the journey, as @bruss says, Sunday rail journeys best avoided. Thereā€™s not enough of Scotland covered in that trip for my likingā€‹:grinning::grinning:.

Slave labour they call it Mike
