Oh dear …
A vote for what Mike said
And a stiff whisky on getting home.
PS Congratulations on cookery skills. Your friend has just paid you a very big compliment
PPS One you could have perhaps done without

Oh hell Pete, that’s a terrible time for Mrs Pete and you. Take care, I hope it all goes as well as it can.
I hope none of our Aussie posters are impacted by La Niña. Best wishes.
And a bit peaty. I wholeheartedly propose myself.
(that sounds very odd)
Pete, if you are a good friend you will burn and over spice everything. That way your friend will look like a great cook when (if) he has that second date!
No I couldn’t cook that bad, I’d have to burn down his new kitchen to make him look good.
However I did use that idea when I was young and asked to wipe up (the dishes) after dinner, I quickly learnt that if you break someone’s favourite cup or mug they never ask you to help again.
Noticed Mavis Staples is playing Darling Harbour, Sydney April 7th next year. Give her live at Union Chapel, London album on Qobuz……could be a good gig.
Cheers I’ll have a listen.
Was listening to Tony Blackburn Sound of the 60s this morning on the radio as usual and he was saying it was now very popular in Australia and New Zealand. Hope that’s true and you’re enjoying it as much as we do.
I use it at home for education of the children. Kid 1 has an English English teacher which teaches them a lot or real English too. Happy to see that words and phrases like kerfuffle, bish bash bosh, idiosyncrasy, lame duck translate here.
That’s a very serious crime here, one that could see you serving time in minimum security jail.
Morning/evening sorry to disappoint but I’ve never heard of it. Is it a BBC show?
@Bevo hope you’re well haven’t seen any of posts banging on about vinyl for awhile.
Hopefully you’re laying around on some beach somewhere in the South Pacific.
Nothing to report Pete
Yes Pete. Very popular 60s music show. Light hearted.
Give it a try.
Problem solved?
Yes, normal service has been resumed. Though it needs to warm up. Mrs Mike is out, so giving it a work out now.
Just packed up my old A60 amp to go to it’s new home. That 6 of the 8 used items sold now. The old CD player needs fixing first - I’ll give that a go myself and need to relist the old speakers.
Am the only one that thinks everyone seems to be under an enormous amount of stress these days. Think the world needs a bit of a hug.
