The Grand Cafe

Oddly enough, when they booted it up, they were able to run a factory reset and it has worked fine ever since. They did open it, but there were no faults they could see.

Weird, I couldn’t get it to run the factory reset at home, even after unplugged for 2 days. Must have been the drive into town that fixed it

Anyway, it only cost a $60 service fee for the check, plus the LP12 of course :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Has it ever crossed your mind that the land in Australia simply doesn’t want humans living there?

No but I use to think it was Jimmy, silly me didn’t realise there was a “n” in it.

We’ve decided to go half’s with friends of ours who have a few acres in a rescue horse. These now retired race horses face a tough challenge with most heading to a certain death. Looking forward to meeting him/her in a few weeks.

Not sure that’s gonna fit in the Jimny mate…!

Cool. I knew someone back in the UK who had 4–5 rescues and regularly got them…Used to ride them around the fields too, though had a few bad throws for his efforts also….Occasionally would still loose one despite his and the vets best efforts, but as you say many face difficult challenges….
I’m not really a horse person, but can understand the attraction for those that are….

I started my working life as a strapper working for trainers at Randwick. It’s where I realised it was the wrong place to work if you loved horses.

Re fitting him in a my Jimny I’ll have to get a horse float, it could do with the extra horsepower.

Wow. Yeah I can imagine….
I reckon working inside any business is probably the worst place to recommend its virtues…!

Sure is I hate carpet.:rofl:

Lol.
So do I funnily enough, avoid it like the plague. Think part of it stems from seeing an Attenborough episode decades back when they showed carpet under a microscope – that’ll soon make you rip it out…! :open_mouth:
But mostly is probably from my Architectural college days – in our young and typical self important Architect ways, we ‘banned’ carpet and curtains…it’s stuck with me ever since…! :flushed:

As an ex carpet layer the sht I’d find under it when we took the old up was disgusting. We’re renting now and I replaced the existing before moving in. I made my money out of (commercial) installations but still prefer timber.

Timber and/or Limestone (not so much the type here, but the beautiful European honed stuff) does it for me…

So THAI have finally announced resumption of flights PER—BKK….

But jeez, the marketing department came up with a corker advert for Perth….That should keep the tourists away hopefully…!

A shed by the river (that’s probably got sharks). You do know Perth is the most isolated major city in the world. You’re closer to Bali than you are Canberra.

Oh trust me, I do KNOW that little tidbit…!
Think Jakarta is the next nearest major city…!

Still, could be even further away in NZ…!

It’s only really due to Mrs SC being from here (though we met whilst living in Thailand) that I initially settled here (had made a couple of visits and was nice enough for a few days, but certainly wouldn’t have even thought of it…!) and 10 years ago I used to moan about it like fuc*, but must admit I’ve grown round to a few more things these days, plus arguably things have, slowly, improved……But my heart is probably still in S.E. Asia, or London on a good day….!

I’m not that sure about London these day, been many times and seem to enjoy it less each time. Although I did have a great day with some members last time and the galleries are fantastic. Love the southwest corner of England and the south of France.

It can be a blessing :sunglasses: and a curse :flushed:

As it happens, I’ve just started reading the big “London” novel by Rutherford.
