The Grand Cafe

Listened to the NC 222 with NC 250. Very nice. But then of course you have to add the NC 300 because adding it sounds better. I know though I need to replace my ageing 272. So it seems the obvious path to take. Perhaps we should negotiate a bulk deal? :joy:

By all means negotiate on our behalf! I think I am just going to audition the 222/250 as an upgrade from Nova. The 2 boxes on their own at Ā£12400 really ought to be a major improvement on the Ā£4300 Nova. If it takes a Ā£6k PS to make it all sing then something has gone v wrong and Iā€™ll hang on to my Nova!

I should have said ā€œa bit betterā€. Iā€™ll see if I can get a BOGOF.

Congratulations!!
Are you doing something special today to celebrate?

Thanks David. Spent the day out and about, listened to some (possible) new boxes for the system (new classic). Tomorrow a haircut, a trip up to the viewing platform at 8 Bishopsgate (free by the way). Then lunch with my wife. Itā€™s all go!

Cheers on the procrastination. I have ruled my life by this, and trained my offspring to do the same.

The main rule being: NEVER do anything today that could possibly be put off till tomorrow. Sage words.
98% of the time, when tomorrow comes I find that it didnā€™t need to be done, or it was actually really good that I didnā€™t do it, or someone else did it and it would have been done twice, or it just didnā€™t matter either way, but a person with OCD wouldnā€™t not have been able to do it.
Owned and operated a very successful business for 18 years respecting this principal.

Just had good news our concreterā€™s other project had been placed on hold and as a result weā€™ll have our ground floor slab poured next week. Thatā€™s at least 5 weeks ahead of schedule.

Thatā€™s huge. Usually in building projects, itā€™s delay after delay. Someoneā€™s looking after you. :innocent:
