power supply…
The white light on the ‘power’ button (right hand side) seems all wrong and throws out the symmetry…
don’t like it - only my opinion of course…
Bummer! I’ll admit, given all the talk of the Slovakian factory, the first thing I did when my 222 arrived was check the back of the label and was the relieved to see that it was both designed and made in the UK.
When I get around to ordering my 200 series kit, I will be equally happy if it is made in UK or Slovakia as I don’t think it will make a blind bit of difference to either the build quality or sound
Using my wine speak
I would suggest the NSC222 is clean crisp and clear almost linear but with a well defined detail
Mine 252/330DR is richer broader with broad, rich detail and depth
But what about the tannins? ![]()
Probably better put together then😊
As a wine enthusiast myself, I’m often humored how the language people use to describe wine closely resembles that of audiophiles discussing sound!
Out of interest are you based in the UK?
Yes
Thanks👍🏻
How long before someone gets hold of a Slovakian and Salisbury built 222 for testing…![]()
Does it bother you at all that all 3 items aren’t UK made?
I had thought the reaction on the thread about the assembly in Slovenia was a bit dramatic, but actually seeing it on the back of a unit - It does actually look a little bit unusual and I can understand how one might, especially being in the UK, want to have a UK made one.

They’re all tested together at the factory. I’m told that Jason has listened to samples of each and found he could not tell apart.
Those torx screws look a bit chewed up.
The screw next to the 200 doesn’t look flush with the case.
The Salisbury build looks neater.

I would have preferred all three to be made in the UK, however, my measure is going to be the sound it makes not where it was made, so far good. ![]()
I will have a look tomorrow when there is better light to see if they are a little chewed up or whether its not a clear image.
They sound amazing
