Thanks for the details on this! Again another reason I love Naim and this Forum.

Or possibly about the pros and cons of different propelling pencils. Mine is Yard-O-Led.

oops me and as they say big feet!

Love my Rotring, my lava pencil is pushing 30 years old now.

Thanks…fine pencils, plated brass (well the 600 series is brass)…

Mine date from the 1980’s, and I had one black 0.9mm that had developed wonderful patina and wear marks, and one day I left it in a classroom. I never saw it again but discovered the teacher of that class picked it up, knew it was mine, but never returned it. You can tell this has left a stain on me ever since.

I found replacements eventually, but I use the less common wider line widths, 0.9 or 1mm.

I have the matching fountain pen, hard to find these days. They were the Rotring 600 series.

The Rotring Newton was not the same.

My silver pencil similar to 110bd is 1.0mm, and does not have the Rotring 600 written on the side.

(Better than 3000 comments about screws!)

Anyway meanwhile back in the 200 series real world!

It is quite fantastic… If you have the money part with it you will be delighted (smile)

More interesting than another 3000 comments about the New Classic Series (which is a silly way to refer to the 200 series anyway) and how it sounds this way or that, and costs this much or that, and that the old nac272, nap250, nap300 or nap500 and a streamer sound better or worse, but will be cheaper perhaps than the new 222+250+300 (which is a lot of money anyway)…

However, I guess we are back to the 200 series anyway…

Reminds me of a HiFi show years back. I wandered into an exhibitors room (wont say who)
The guy was all over me, whatdya think of the speakers? Great eh?
I was a bit taken aback by his over the top ebbuliance and looked non plussed.
Sit down have a listen, whatdya think?
Still non plussed
Well choose a record you like he insisted
No! Not that one try this! 10cc brilliant eh? Dya know why their called 10cc?
Still non plussed
So whats your system then he asked
Erm…Linn, Naim I shrugged
He feigned spitting at my feet and exclaimed, oh! So youre one of those f*ckin flat earthers then!

NAIM should definitely offer therapy to members who are missing a screw…
You would have seen already over 20K posts if HH were involved in the discussion.

Where is the forum moderator Dr Ruth when you need her

It would be good if more information about the New Classic was provided by people who have already bought the New Series and have been using it at home for several weeks. For the time being, people who only listened to New Classic for a while write most often.

maybe @110dB can answer this for us. I am curious about this as well. The 250 is a significant upgrade over my 250DR with a much lower noise floor.
