Well, let’s see now… we have the New Classic Range 300 Series - NAC332, NSS333, NVC-TT, NPX-TT, and NAP350s, and also the NAIT 50. But you want more…?
We always want more, Richard
Well 110db rather teasingly stated a couple of days ago - “There is one more very small ‘easter egg’, a rather serendipitous one. I give it a day or so ”
Or maybe I’ve just got the wrong end of the stick.
Absolutely ultimately the DAC chip used is a small part of the SQ, what you sit it on, and room treatment might make significant differences.
amazing how many conclusing are been made before anyone here has demo’d the equipment never mine a proper demo in your own home with a burned in & settled system.
I fully expect these (3xx series), like the first wave of new classics to be a step up on previous offering and I really wish them all the best with these and any further products
Hopefully Naim will have the New Classic Range on show at the North West Audio Show 17 - 18 June 2023.
Probably like the 200 Series where some are made in Salisbury and some are made in the EU.
In 1973,I was about to be born. Part of the appeal for me has been that Naim has been around for about as long as I have. I cannot say I’ve aged as well though … I guess I’ll hang in there till these newer components have been around for a while and pick up a demo model or previously loved as new prices for a full 300 system would be half a years salary as it stands. Worth it?, given I’ve heard everything ever released except for the hens teeth av unit Richard recently acquired, I’m looking forward to a demo… After I’ve sold my slightly used liver on the black market
Thank’s! Good to know.
Thank you so much for this detailed explanation, well appreciated!
Hope we can end the ‘inferior DAC’ discussion now.
Many regards,
Michel
Not dr is confirmed.
What about the number of power rails?
Thanks for pointing this out, wishful thinking on my behalf, I was hoping for an informed answer to my dilemma.
I don’t know, so that will probably have to wait until Steve is back on next week, unless @Stevesky knows the answer.
Touche Sir, thanks!
This has probably been answered, but is it possible to use a SN2 as a preamp with the new 250 as the amp? Do the cables to do this exist?
It has already been covered here - to re-cap, it could be done from the bi-amp output DIN socket on the Supernait, or else you would need a dedicated PSU on the Supernait’s pre-amp section. If just from the Supernait ( sans PSU), you would need the special cables that would be normally used to be combined at the DIN end into a single DIN. One for Naim or your dealer to sort perhaps?
Thanks, I’ll likely go for the pre-amp first. I can’t wait to demo them both. I’m so excited!!! This is the path forward I’ve been waiting for…
I thought the 350 might have come with Powerlines, but note it’s the ‘Lite’ version.
Have they been tried with full-fat Powerlines I wonder?
G
Powerlines usually only come as standard with Statement and 500 series. I would imagine they have been developed at Naim using both the standard Powerline Lites and well as the full-fat Powerlines.
Getting older I can only focus on one hobby at a time. Completely missed this rather intriguing news, good stuff Naim! I was holding out to upgrade my 250dr to a 300dr and wanted to wait until this news.
I will speak to my dealer this week. Keep my 252dr (in need of recap) and upgrade the 250dr to 350s. Upgrading the 252 to the new pre seems like a bridge too far, as the supercap dr combo is already great and the new pre although can power itself, lacks dr without a ps upgrade if I understand correctly.
Fun!
