The new NAIT 50 Limited Edition

Had all of about 2 minutes listening before having to shoot but out the box it certainly rocks - old skool! Driving Keilidhs as well as the bolt down 160.

Both LP12s are in the main system at the moment so using a P2 for the time being but still sounding very good. Had assumed I’d need to run it in for a while first but think I’ll just start using it. Exciting!

Here’s a not so neat-and-tidy pic to contrast some of the lovely looking setups in this thread…

Couldn’t wait to hear it with an LP12 and tidy up (like a proper Naimie should)

IKEA Lack tables too !

An LP12 and a NAIT just look so good together :sunglasses:

That’s a wonderfully retro setup. What’s the cartridge on the Ittok?

Thanks Richard!

K9 body with AT VM95ML.

I briefly tried the Linn Adikt MM before this and it was too woolly (although works very well on the Cirkus/Ekos/Lingo deck).

Nice. I have a couple of K9s, so good to know that the VM95ML stylus works well on it.

The cheapo ‘E’ (Elliptical bonded) is actually more tuneful but I get IGD with this old deck. The Lingo/Ekos deck was fine with the AT 520EB so assume the VM95E would be OK with a more modern deck too. I played around with the Ittok settings a lot but couldn’t get around it. Zero IGD with the ML (MicroLine) though - and more clarity too of course.

I like it :ok_hand:

Love the Keilidhs but I miss the yellow stylus on the k9.

My first K9 was all-grey so never experienced a yellow one.

The grey stylus made it look like a k5. I like a bit of bling. Yellow, Red and Gold for me.

Great to see a review at last.

I’ve uploaded a YouTube phone clip to give a flavour of how it sounds straight away, called ‘Naim Nait 50 Rocks out the Box!’

I’m not a rock music obsessive but do think it can tell you a lot about timing and musical understanding. Just a few tracks from Rage Against the Machine to Quo

I’m very pleased with mine , I haven’t used it for rock but it does delicacy and vocals well

Beginning to think it’s a bargain on a sound per pound basis

So glad that despite of no need at all, I bought one - it is soo good. Need another powerline now - the one from nait 50 went over to new phoenix net.

I read supra connecting a power line made too boomy sound

Not for me - with n-sats boomy is good.

Who?

Sevenoaks, it’s in their recent email .

There have be no press reviews , it seems to be sold on word of mouth .

I think those who bought it blind would have very soon let their opinions be known if it was a :turkey: :turkey: :turkey: :turkey:

I am very pleased with mine, very unforced, warm, delicate yet I understand it is good with rock

I enjoy my Nait 50 too which is currently setup in the teenage room with SBLs and an ND5XS2, one day the 500 setup will go with the Nait 50 returning to the main setup.
