The new NAIT 50 Limited Edition

I love that light!

And me too!

I finally had a chance to try the phono stage in my Nait 50 driving a pair of Falcon LS3/5a 2024LE - using my main cartridge, a Lyra Atlas Lambda SL, into a Hagerman Piccolo Zero

Yes the Atlas is absolute overkill for the Nait and Piccolo but it resulted in an absolute amazing, startling life-like and explosive sound! Listening to some of the most recent Pablo reissue of Alternate Blues, trumpets have a real life presence and tonality, just sharp enough to feel like they are in the room, but lots of texture and richness to sound absolutely wonderful.

So for anyone looking to use a very low impedance MC into the Nait 50 - the Piccolo Zero seems like a perfect match as active step-up - a Lyra Kleos SL would likely be a perfect partner, given my experience with the Atlas.

Hi Paul
I have purchased the Nait 50 and the amp is fed by the Eversolo A6 Master Edition.
This streamer allows for modifications to the soundstage and balance if you need it.
I personally don’t as I want it to be true to the original recording but it is there if needed.
The amp is absolutely amazing by the way.
Only criticism is the white power lamp it should be green in my humble opinion.
Regards
Jon

Hi there
I am interested in buying this P0. Is it available here in Europe ? Or only to be purchased online through website haghlabs thanks for replying

The Piccolo Zero is only available direct and no international dealers. They also have some interesting tools for analog measurements such as the inverse RIAA board to allow phonostage measurement and burn-in.

I have been listening more and it really seems like a perfect match for the Nait 50 for anyone wanting to go with a low impedance MC.

Thanks for your feedback !

Lots of interesting equipment seems to be partnering the Nait 50, I found the Nait 50 showed up my CD5si , and went back to my elderly CDx2 , now a CDx2.2 (transport only) coupled with my ND5XS2-

I would be very interested if anybody has partnered this with NSC222 or NSS 333. The demise of the NX2 seems to have left a significant price gap . Looked at the alternatives (Linn - no way) or AURAlic with it TESLA base.

Much prefer a Naim product . The NAIT 50 is a keeper , I just wonder what people use with it

Unitiserve/NDX, CDX2 ( bare), CD5/FC2 & LinnAxis/K9 here. They all sound good and i’m not left wanting with any of them.

For digital I used the Nait 50 with a Linn Selekt Organik Dual Mono, Naim nDAC, and Atom HE.

For form factor, convenience and matching the Nait 50, the Atom HE was perfect - I run the volume control either fixed or variable close to 80 - the volume is very convenient for smaller adjustments and convenience.

The Nait was also not at all embarrassed by the Linn Organik - the Organik is a clear step up from the Atom HE but the Atom remains a lot of fun, a bit warmer sounding and not that far off from the Naim nDAC.

@GaryYeowell @restock

Thank you , it’s a question that I am giving some thought to, it clearly is a wonderful amp - but it does seem to benefit from careful paring

@Ian2001

I have used the Nait 50 with both the NDX2 and the NSS 333

Sounds great with both of them, in particular the NSS 333 but probably an overkill ( NSS 333 now in main system with 332/250

The Nait 50 is a definite keeper , Naim got it right with this one that’s for sure

Thanks Bevo, I was wondering if the 333 was overkill, we will wait and see how things go, but the Nait 50 deserves good sources .

Yes it certainly does Ian, needs a good source

I’m now using it with LP12ARO ( keel level ) with Superline and SCDR

The Nait 50 drives it along beautifully

No idea about streaming, but I’ve never experienced anything overkill from source department - turntable, tuner or CD replay.

Once I had a CDS/PS on a Nait/Kan - it was quite interesting.
I’ve seen a Naia user with IO amp.

In generel I believe we tend to use more cash midways rather than upfront, there’s also people spending $$$ on loudspeakers and feed them with el cheapo source and amp.
Actually this is probably more common.

I’m thinking I am in opposite camp
Planar 6 ND7 into N50 into Dali Opticon 2s.
They’re a musical speaker but arguably needin* upgrade…
AlChris Audio TX1s I think

Could I ask please is it possible to use the Nait 50 with headphones and no speakers attached ?, is it also advisable to remove the speaker plugs or would you leave them insitu. I haven’t got any passive loudspeakers at the moment. Thanks

Yes, that’s fine. It’s how I mostly use mine.

No harm in leaving the supplied speaker plugs in place either. At least you’ll know where they are when you need to use them.
