The N50 for me is an absolute classic
Trying to replicate it in a larger box might lose something. Not that I have any idea why I’m saying that 
I had the SN3 and the N50 - the N50 won out, SN3 has left the room

I notice that the Chord Qutest is a popular dac. It is even used together with the nd5xs2. Is the latter combination an upgrade, or is it just another direction in terms of sound?
My plan for a source with the N50 was a reasonable priced streamer and a quality dac, where a cd transport can be connected.
Now I am considering, for the sake of simplicity, whether the nd5xs2 alone is the solution, it also has digital in (cd transport) and out.
The Wiim ultra analog out, into the N50 is not up to the mark though it’s improved by the Mojo2 that I have.
A two box solution. Love it!

Well I now have a complete streaming system based round N50 to replace my office Atom.
I set myself the challenge of building a streamer/amp setup at around the same price (new) as a new Atom and not occupying significantly more desk space. I didn’t quite manage it but came close. The N50 and Qutest together used up the whole budget and a Wiim Pro Plus together with some new cables added another £300 or so.
SQ? TBH the Qutest did sound a bit weedy at first but it’s warmed up considerably in the last few days. Others’ experience suggests that will continue for a while more. It’s definitely a big upgrade on the Atom and a worthwhile investment at least for me.

The upgrade from my Uniti to the Nait 50 & Emerson Analog was significant.
I prefer 2-box digital/amp setups.

My speakers are Neat Iotas which are much easier to drive than ATCs and seem to work well with the Nait 50. I’ll get round to updating my profile when Iget a chance.

I said it from the word go in that the best thing that Naim has done and given the NAIT 50 is soul and this is priceless. The NAIT 50 is the best shoebox integrated amplifier Naim have produced to date

I paid full price for mine and think it’s a bargain. Giving serious thought to matching it with a Lindeman Limetree streamer and Limetree DAC to make a very small but serious system

The Limetree Bridge 2 is a lovely little box that does everything very well and has a great app as well. And the Chord Hugo2 works very well with it.

No @cayorob I didn’t. I already had the Limetree Bridge so did not look elsewhere. The 2go looks an interesting device but would not really work well on my sideboard (cables going in from 3 sides of the device).
Quite the opposite actually. Lack of cables is part of its appeal to me. No power supply or Ethernet stresses just an RCA connection at the rear.
Due to its uniqueness though, rarely do you find comparisons in sound to other devices.

Oh, I see. You are running it wireless and powering via the internal batteries (charging when needed). I prefer a wired connection. Are you happy with the 2go streamer and the gofigure app? No desire here to replace the Limetree.

I am yes, I move it regularly as I also use it with headphones at my desk.
I debated running an Ethernet cable but to be honest the wifi connection is rock solid and Chord confirmed there would be no improvement from a SQ perspective.
I don’t use the Go Figure app, it’s very clunky, I used Roon for a few years but have recently moved over to Audirvāna which loses some of Roons great functionality but improves on its sound.

I’ve probably said it before-maybe too often, I love my Limetree pieces so very much, very good sound, and build for small devices. I currently own Limetree Bridge2, Network2, and Phono2. Very pleased with them and cannot see changing them for anything else. I have to give a plug to Lindemann too, they are very quick to respond to questions. Just a nice alternative in my opinion, still love my Naim too!
