Think in some cases expectation was unrealistic. Like having an excellent top class bicycle pump, but trying to use it on a tractor tyre. Doesn’t make the pump a poor performer

Just looked at your profile - like you, I bought a UnitiQute in 2011.

It’s the concentric drivers for me.

Listening to Radio Paradise Main Mix near field, everything played sounds incredible.

I could also see myself with a pair of Linn 119 monitors for a different, not necessarily better listening experience along side my Source Point 8s.

My Nait 50 is feeding my Neat Motive SX2’s and i know the speaker’s are possible the week link now but my system in my smallish room just sounds lovely to me, so changing for me me is rather difficult as space & wife have a big impact and that’s before we look at the cost !

Think i will just enjoy the music and the pleasure the Nait 50 & my Neat’s are giving me.

Not weak link IMO, ok there’s better speakers out there, personal taste aside, Motive is way better than 7 out of ten out there, so much overpriced crap, to be specific, which is impossible.

I wouldn’t say so either, great reviews out there, one talks of your speakers in a Naim system. Reread a few reviews, listen and enjoy!

@MNIM In a round about way this was my thinking, some might think you need better speakers and that might be true but for me i have found a system that works for me (the best sound i have ever owned) and all i think i will do is chasse a dream and spend a load of time and money !

So time to just love the system i have.

I must say coming from a Nait 5si the Nait 50 was hell of a leap up for me and the 50 drives my Neat’s way better.

Focal Aria Evo X No.1’s with mine. Could listen to them all day long, rel sub just fills out the missing bass. Slightly rolled off treble

You describe the sonic character of the Nait50 way better than I can manage. Yes it’s all of those things. If there was a set of Top Trump cards for turntables, I’d say the Nait50 would have the highest score in the Enjoyability Level category.

Edit: just realised I’d really like a Turntables edition of Top Trumps. We should do a thread on this!!

@badlyread Lol!!! I was clearly having a moment there!!:rofl::rofl::rofl: I’m going to blame the lack of sleep from the previous night!

Two thoughts colliding:

The Nait50 = makes listening to music a hugely fun experience.

On reflection I’d like Top Trumps to do amps and turntables editions . . .

It’s official…. I’ve bought a second NN50! I deliberated too long, ought to have gotten one at Ā£999 but I’ve managed to find a brand new boxed one for not much more.

Hopefully here tomorrow….

Well done - I have had a quick look around and can’t see any new ones available - just a couple ex display ones, and a few used ones with now increasing prices on auction sites (this is in the UK)

Grade A one for £899! Very tempting.
