The new NAIT 50 Limited Edition

Zensor 1 are a great little speaker. Especially on the end of a Wiim Ultta and nait 50. As I noted, I could easily live with them. Listening to a Fleetwood Mac album on qobuz at 192/24 and I was questioning my current rig. As always source first. But im sure the nait 50 helps a lot.

Well I think he nailed it. He managed to express what I hear as the difference in bass presentation between my SN3 and my N50’s.

Also again the comparison to the MF A1 is spot on too, again have one of these and it’s midrange is gorgeous.

Spot on! And similar to what most users here have said :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: And with a better source it delivers even more!

I love the bass presentation from my 50 with my speakers. It’s a bit different as he says but extremely dynamic, fast and musical. Fun! :man_dancing::saxophone:

Actually I prefer the top end from the Nait 50 compared to that from my former 500/552.

And as he said. When you find synergy with speakers that partners great with the Nait then you are in for a great journey :+1:

Agree totally. For me was only bettered by a 332/300/250, and then not by a huge amount. There was a bit fuller bass, slightly sweeter treble and wider more placed soundstage. I would have the 300 series again if I had the cash, but very happy with my 50 and don’t think I’d ever part with it.

I think I agree in some regards specifically the slightly sweeter treble/upper mid, with me thinking of my previous 252/250. (Though some recordings don’t benefit from a sweeter treble.. it’s a balance) . however it’s the sound staging on the N50 is the best or at least on a par with the best I have experienced with any Naim amp upto and including 552DR..

The more I muse on this and play around, the more I feel a large part of this is down to speaker and room synergy… much sound staging I understand is the frequency radiation and phase interaction from the hf drivers as well as interaction with walls in the room and listening distance from speakers. I understand from the amps perspective, it needs a good phase response and minimum phase distortion within and between channels. I think this latter part through its relative simplicity, allows the N50 to excel…. As I wrote somewhere earlier on in this thread

His thoughts closely mirror my own. Only it didn’t take me a week to get used to it. I was smitten from the first minute.

Always like his reviews, tend to find them spot on as is the case with his N50 assessment. I wonder how many of the 1973 were a 115V version?

Great video - especially in one take.

I’m really starting to like that guy. No hyperbole, just solid reviews.

Would be great if there was a list of everyone with a N50 and the speakers they have on the end of it.

89dB Tannoy Legacy Eaton here. Dual concentric point source driver. Beautiful musical synergy with Nait 50.

I do agree with your opinion as I have and enjoy the sane set up.

I switch between Russel K Red 50s and Falcon Gold LS3/5a speakers.. the latter I use more for inspecting masters, and the former for general musicality and entertainment.

There had been a N50 speaker thread, fizzled out as most posts made in this one.

I compared the 300 and 50 in a much larger room (8x8m) and the 300 series was able to project the bass and image well out into the room compared to the 50. In my current 3 x 4m room with a closer listening position the 50 is more than adequate and I doubt I’d get much benefit from a 332/300/250.

I liked that thread….

I’m away to pull the trigger on another NN50

1x feeding SCM11

1x feeding AlChris TX9..

Unbeatable amp at the price…

Even the phono stage is utterly beguiling… hard to see how much if anything could be improved…..

The attack, accuracy, transparency, sound staging and sheer bounce it has is superb…

Indeed - just searched and found it. In my spare time, I may trawl through it and start a table

So match speakers to room, match amp to speakers.

Who knew?

Same speakers, my very versatile Atohm GT1 SE stand mounts

Well there are a few who put the 50 into their huge system and room and come to the conclusion that their big amps are much better. So it’s not obvious to everyone that synergy is key to make it sing
