The new NAIT 50 Limited Edition

Only two :blush:

@Winniethefoo

I have both the N50 and the NC332/250

Of course the N50 can’t match the pre/power combo for scale and depth etc etc

Having said that - if my life went to custard ( which it isn’t I might add) and I had to flog the pre/ power combo , could I live with the N50 ?

My word I could :+1:

Of course :grin::+1:

Neither for low light late night listening sessions no pre/power combo can match the N50 performance… :slight_smile: Blessings!

Do you sit at this desk or is it a sideboard you sit back from? I’d get some isolation going if possible, iso pucks or the like. If you sit away from the desk I’d be inclined to move the speakers to the very front edge of the counter too if possible, avoid reflections off the surface.

Hi, thanks for asking! it’s a desk yes, it’s basically my workplace, unfortunately I am not able to move the speakers to the front, as it will be very inconvenient to work, the desk is 120cm wide, speakers are 20cm, I will be left with 80cm for the PC, which is not wide enough to be able to manoeuvre freely.

As far as isolation is concerned, I have Atacama pads underneath the speakers and the desk itself is sitting on 4 Soundcare spikes, which pretty much means the whole desk is sitting on 2mm surface, not touching the ground, I think I have reached a relatively good isolation level, given the current speaker placement.

Spiked work desk, brilliant.

Are spreadsheets full of Prat, PowerBI more vibrant and the AI more musical?

I’m only joking and not being snarky (feel that needs calling out given some recent exchanges on here).

I’ve got a pop up desk that I site between the speakers of my system and use the TV as a monitor most days, gives a nice environment to crack on in.

Mostly its unrealistic for me, a Symphony could be the only exception to get that space in the room.

:laughing:

Wonder if you have tried a Napsc on the 202 ?

Just what I thought my then 202/200 needed (not 200DR)

I have caught myself a few times filling my excel tables header in Naim green, or close to it, next level would be writing emails with Naim’s logo font… :slight_smile:

Jokes aside, when I work I hardly listen to any music, it distracts me, as my listening tends to convert in analysing, which I don’t know if it’s good or bad, thus no music during working hours, when I take a break I might put the music on, but usually I work in silence.

No, not at all, no worries Adam, I try to be as transparent and open minded as possible, in this day and age people have become way too sensitive and might get frustrated or get offended by even the slightest tongue in cheek comment. I try to stay away and not take too serious any comments.

Hopefully got one… :crossed_fingers:

I bought a Nait50 in the States a few months back NIB for $1899 plus tax (from a Naim authorized dealer). I think Naim sold all of their Nait50’s early on. However, I’m not sure how many Naim dealers have sold Nait50’s at the $3599 MSRP. I have seen a few dealers selling them at a fairly large discount. IMHO it’s a wonderful little integrated that I am very happy to have powering the audio system in my study! :blush:

Our electronics are so transparent that they’re invisible. lol :roll_eyes:

Hi @Jimmyblues1959

Just returned from Seville after dropping off my 252/300 pre amp and power amp for repair/service. Picked up an unboxed Nait 50 at the same time. Back home so will be setting it up tonight - excited to hear it and how it compares to the bigger 252/300 combo.

As of last week the dealer still had one more Nait 50 for sale - at discounted price.

Just set it up. Playing a favourite playlist starting with Neil Young’s Unknown Legend.

Only 5 minutes in. Must say that the Nait 50 is driving the Martin Logan ESLs very well. The N50 is between 7 & 8 on the volume clock - delivering the same volume as the 252/300 combo. Sounding a little bright at the moment but I have not set up the REL subwoofers yet.

The REL cable RCA ends piggy backed off the pre amp and I felt by the time the Martin Logan RCA was added there was too much bending ( and impact to the speaker signal). So today picked up improved connectors.

Kate Bush Running Up The Hill - great vocals.

Let the system settle in for a few days and I will report back. So far - great.
