Charming
Iāll ask in the other thread - interested how you perceive things now
@Murmur as far I know there are no nait50s in Australia. So I think Iāve missed the boat. I still have a great main naim system and a cb nait2 second system so Iām in no hurry. Hopefully naim will be able to make more once the 1973 have sold.
I think the NC250 might be betterā¦
with the designa cable I thought they were about even each having its own strengths. I would have to borrow a 30ODR again to be sureā¦
I like the yellow plinth in a strange way. It would need to be in the right setting though. I also agree that the arm has the look of my old Syrinx LE2 albeit silver rather than black. The Majik LP12 is a fine looking machine in my view although for me you can easily better it for the same money with preloved components.
The new Majik arm looks better with a Koil than Adikt but still a bit fussy/messy for my liking and I preferred the previous Lenco, but itās still an LP12 and a lovely thing to buy new. Agree - better performance from pre-loved. Sometimes people just want to buy new regardless.
Yeah - similar to my 2nd system ā¦ it is a brillant little box!
Surely that should be an lp12 and kans to keep the local theme going?
Those Keilidh should be a good tester for that amp. Take a bit of driving. I used a unitiqute with a set for a while and they still sounded OK
Ah didnāt realise they were Keilidhs, they look too chunky. It will be a good test. Iāve only ever heard them on a Nait2 and found them pretty subdued, almost muffled.
Keilidhs can be great fun and thatās what Iām hoping for .
The Keilidhās are a fairly difficult speaker to drive, it will be an interesting test.
I have P3 ESR reputed to be very difficult ,at 6 ohms and 83 db sensitivity, and the Nait 50 has a very firm grip on them.
Picked up the Neat 30ās todayā¦home demo for a week or two to see how the '50 sounds with themā¦
Initially placed them in the Listening room, so ooi can compare them to 606ās, (will try them in the Study next week).
Need to settle in, however a nice soundā¦
Donāt worry about that.
Just order one tomorrow before they sell out.
(If you wait a few more days they will be gone AFAIK.)
The Nait 50 I just had in my system for four days is brilliant at the price point.
Surely the best shoebox integrated in the universe.
A wonderful taste of the original Naim sound with speed and clarity and emotional connection with the music.
Great with jazz and classical.
I fed the Nait 50 with ND5XS2 - nDAC/555DR into SL2sā¦
Hi Wilfried , after four days listening -itās very good .
Iām a Naim user of 30 plus years , and counting back itās my fifth Naim amplifier .
Iāve been hankering after a shoebox amplifier from them for a very long time and I bought it unheard . Speaking to my dealer (his firm is part of a chain) they have sold around thirty - and all like me bought it blind.
His ācynicalā comment was that if I didnāt like it, he was sure there would be no problem selling it .
My view was that Naim were not going to issue such an eccentric product unless they were completely satisfied with it .
