Are gas hobs now banned?
We had a kitchen fitted over 10 years ago. There are now height restrictions from gas hob to extractor. Restrictions on nearby cupboards and electrical sockets. We looked online and found a good price, rang our local retailer…….much cheaper. But they never asked us about the kitchen dimensions.
Big day, they turn up with Mrs Gaz pride and joy, gas hob cooker……they refused to fit it as they would be liable under new regulations. Many gas hobs have a high capacity wok burner……which may be part of the story.
But, we are much happier with the induction hob.
Probably is something I can buy but they come in circa £500, which for something which needs to be done as a one off is something I’d prefer to avoid.
And its 22:21 here
BTW Pete, I assume yours is in Centigrade/Celsius? And not Fahrenheit which would be bl**dy cold!
Anyway, get yer arse out of bed and take Marlon for his walk! ![]()
I am out of bed and on our walk that the official weather site and it’s Celsius
I think you may have got this the wrong way round ![]()
@Pete_the_painter I see your lovely house is still on the market any interest?
A little but nothing serious, market has slowed down recently. Also it’s a very unique property that requires the buyer to live and work in the same building. It can be split if they require as there’s separate addresses power water etc.
Keep at it - it’s a beautiful property and there is someone out there that will fall in love with it.
Go painting/drawing with a friend on Tuesdays, we got a bit of extra encouragement from a few locals this morning.
How now brown cow?
What strange looking kangaroos……
An evening out with the godson and his fiancée whom I’d not met previously. Bundobust on Oxford Street in Manchester was excellent as usual but with a few extra surprises.
I’d made them aware of my VI and asked for accessible seating. I’d not appreciated that the fiancée also had a VI. When they saw this they immediately offered table service rather than bar service and it was helpful. I realised on my bus home that none of us had tipped them so I’ll be going back to fix that tonight as I happen to be in town again.
The other discovery was their Kopra AF. So good I’d downed 3 before I knew it. I feel an online purchase from their offy coming on.
I thought he was going jump in the car
“He?” You have just failed your dairy farmer application test ![]()
They look like males to me.
They could be “bullocks”, in which case “he” is technically correct even if certain parts of anatomy are missing.
What my dear old mum used to call “baby beefs”, back in the day when I was a child.
