Tidal HiRes Max Playlists

Now, that we finally got HiRes Max from Tidal, seems there’s not THAT many truly HiRes tracks there (or I suck at searching…).

Maybe we could share HiRes Max playlists here?

Thanks in advance!

I think it might help if you list a few artists that you like. So far, I’ve found quite a few of artists I enjoy have 24bit music for their latest Album.

Hires album rec: What’s Going On - Marvin Gaye

Is it just because the Naim app doesn’t yet flag albums as hi res that makes them hard to spot?
Using bubblesoft upnp and Talk Talk as an example, high res albums are clearly marked with an H icon

That would be a good feature to add to the Naim app, especially now.

It already does it for Qobuz so you would think it wouldn’t be too difficult to do the same for Tidal

How do you find Tidal hi-res within Naim app it’s not like the Tidal app where you find it if go to Explore

As far as I know, in the Nam app you can only tell if it’s hi-res when playing a track / album!

It would be nice not to have to go back and forth between the Naim and Tidal apps to select the hi-res versions as favourites or for playlists.

It would be great

In bubbleupnp there is an option to show the hi res indicator so there must be something in the Tidal metadata that the Naim app could use, it really shouldn’t be difficult to implement

I believe Tidal have removed it or changed it because in my Lindemann app I could earlier on see Max labeled on albums when scrolling around but now I need to start playing an album to see it. Lindemann streamer use Streaming unlimited streaming board like naim.

Am I correct @Lucifer ? Or was it Qobuz only?

The Tidal App (on my iPad) no longer shows high/max indicator on album lists. So for example “Suggested new albums” you can’t tell what is max without drilling in……

I regard this as a backwards step, especially on general search where older content might be a real mix.

You can atleast see the resolution like MAX when you click an album in Tidal before you start playing it.

Absoluty, but that information would be helpful on every album view - suggestions, searches etc.

I guess Tidal’s view is that since most new content being added is max it’s redundant, but would be nice to see.

Yes, this is how it was when I used Qobuz on the Lindemann app.
