I have purchased a second hand TigerPaw Vulkan from a well known auction site, and would like some advice if possible about fitting it securely to the wall. It came with 4 long screws, each with a large metal washer, a smaller metal one and a rubber ring washer. No raw-plugs or similar came with it. I am guessing I will need those but wondered what ‘order’ the washers and screws are meant to go as it’s not immediately obvious (to me, at least!) Thanks.
Hi,
the Vulkan came with raw plugs from Fischer. I don’t know the parts number, but they had conical metal inserts at the end. I’ll do some browsing and will let you know if I find any more information.
D@mn, I missed that. I’ve been on the look-out for a TP Vulkan for several years!
Enjoy……(grrrr, mumble, buqqer
)
The Fischer TA M looks at least somewhat similar to the ones that came with my Vulkan, although those were mostly plastic with only the end piece made of metal.
Sorry, but I think that’s all I can do here.
And me!!!

The rubber washers are there to prevent any vibrations passing from the wall into the Vulkan.
So I would guess they go between the Vulkan and the wall.
The metal washer may go between the Vulkan and the rubber washer to spread the forces over the surface area of the rubber washer when the screws are tightened.
Or, depending on the size of the screw/bolt head, the metal washer may go between the head of the screw/bolt and the Vullkan: to stop the head of the screw/bolt pulling into the hole in the Vulkan.
I do not own a Vulkan nor installed one, so the above is all a guess.
Me too!
Settled on a Pro-Ject Wallmount-It 5, which is rather high mass, but gives a good clean sound.
But obviously I don’t know what I’m missing without the TP Vulkan.
