The NP800 streaming board that most/all new Naim streamers use has been around for a few years now but IIRC Naim themselves stated on here that one of its design goals was to have sufficient headroom/capacity to receive updates for a long time, partly in response to the relative inability of their first generation streamers to do so. I don’t wish to offer egg sucking lessons, but take a look at a search result for “NP800 @ stevesky” (removing the space between @ and stevesky - he’s the software director at Naim) if you get the chance, lots to read through.
