Thanks Neil. I wanted to ship the older CDS for overhaul but I think that might damage it. It sounds great at the moment but I am resisting the urge to use it and will follow your previous instructions re CDS3 and remove the case. I hope to be able to see if the captive pins can be relocated into the cups on the leaf springs??

It’s not advisable to ship a working player - too much risk of damage.
Re-seating the suspension pins in the cups will be easy to do with the cover removed. It won’t be sounding too good if they are not seated correctly - the pin/cup interface is performance critical!
