It’s not likely to be cheap though!
Looks like that’s from a vendor that sells cheap as chips networking equipment to me, unless your using that vendors velcro.
Didn’t know fibre optic cable was directional.

I hope that he was not pulling your leg ![]()
Going by previous posts, we shall see.

I want to know what four step grinding is. I am guessing a dance move or sex position.
Hi
…
I had these velcro in a box among many others.
The black cable is a high-quality military-spec cable.
@Geko ,.It’s still not expensive if we compare it to what cables can cost for our music-systems.
What is also unique is,.that my friend has a laboratory perform a 4-step grinding of this cable, which gives better soundquality.
This is a singlemode fiber-cable,.in our tests singlemode sounded better than multimode.
Hi
…
Honestly,.I didn’t think so either
.
I asked my knowledgeable friend about it,.he just said…
Try it yourself and let me know what you come up with.
When I said to my friend,.I hear a difference in the direction.
His response was,.“of course, but I wanted you to hear it for yourself”.
The difference is not big,.but in a well installed and optimized system it is (like everything else) an important difference.
…Now you think I’m crazy…
But I put fiber between the router and the digital-box to the TV,.even there the TV-picture was slightly better with the fiber-cable in a certain direction.
Hi
…
What is that for strange comment,.do you mean I have to apologize because I have many extremely knowledgeable friends in this interest.
Rather,.it is good that we can take advantage of such guys’ knowledge and experience.
As I wrote before,.he is passionately, almost fanatically interested in everything in fiber vs soundquality…
And has spent almost five years exploring this topic,.definitely the most knowledgeable in Sweden about fiber vs soundquality.
Incidentally,.regarding your picture of a Multimode fiber-cable…
As I wrote earlier,.Singlemode is a better fiber-cable vs the soundquality in hifi context
.
I want to know what four step grinding is. I am guessing a dance move or sex position.
Hi
…
So you don’t know that you grind,.or “polish” fiber-cables.
Otherwise not worth commenting on.
Remarkable response when imparting knowledge that can provide better conditions for increased soundquality.
No I have no knowledge of four part grinding.
But aren’t you the guy that said moving the feet of a broadband router a cm made it sound better?
because I have many extremely knowledgeable friends in this interest.
No, similar to your comments on Neotech cable.
Many extremely knowledgable friends, implying that they know better than the other posters who have a different opinion to you.
Why single mode, when multimode is the specification.
DG…
And another tour ……pop corns please.
But aren’t you the guy that said moving the feet of a broadband router a cm made it sound better?
Hi
…
No,.then you’re confusing me with someone else.
But I think I recognize that statement from my long thread (8000 posts) which was called…
• “Ethernet Switch and Cable Mania”.
BUT,.a router is just as sensitive to external and internal micro-vibrations as other hifi-products…
And that affects the soundquality negatively.
YES,.we have evaluated this
.
But in general,.it matters where under a hi-fi product you place the device’s feet.
For example:
Innuos have three feet asymmetrically placed under their streamers (see picture).
If you place four feet,.one in each corner, it will sound worse.
(We have used Stack Audio AUVA EQ for this experiment).
If you place three feet,.but in other places under the product than where InnuOs have their feet…
Then it also sounds worse.
SO,.InnuOs should be greatly praised for prioritizing this in their products.
You also wrote:
“No I have no knowledge of four part grinding.”
My aforementioned friend has spent an incredible amount of time (and money),.exploring different angles of grinding the aforementioned Singlemode fiber-cable vs soundqualityn.
The first years he paid for all this himself,.but for the last two years his employer pays for both materials and time for this work.
My friend is the manager of,.and runs a company dealing with music reproduction, but he does not own the company.
Below is the picture of InnuO’s placement of the feet on its streamers.
It’s important context. Clearly you come under the more extreme end of hifi such as Peter Belts theories and if you have time and the interest fair enough to you.
Clearly you come under the Peter Belt theory of hifi and that’s fine.
Hi
…
Thanks
…
I didn’t expect any other comment from you,.so thank you for not disappointing me.
Now I’m not writing to you,.but to others who read the forum, and want to share other people’s experiences to get better soundquality
Have a nice weekend
…
Peder Belt?
Sorry Peder, couldn’t resist.
