Trying to Connect Muso 1st Gen to Panasonic TV using Toshlink - Optic cable

Hi,

Needing some help

I’ve a Muso 1st gen and a Panasonic TV 43GS352B and trying to use the Muso as a soundbar using a TOSHLINK male to male.

I’ve connected them up (being the easy bit) but unable to get the sound to go through the Muso. I’ve tweaked the TV settings to SPDIF which but no joy on the sound coming through the Muso.

If this doesn’t work going to connect them using a male to male 3.5mm jack plug from/to the headphone sockets on the TV and Muso.

Would appreciate any thoughts and suggestions.

Thank you muchly

Is the TV output set to 2 channel pcm stereo? It should work, although recently I’ve started using Bluetooth instead of optical to cut down on cable clutter and that also works well.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for your reply. I’ll check that out. Having had a look around the settings, I don’t think my TV has bluetooth, as I can’t find anything relating to it in the settings?
