Following the “Bingeworthy” thread, it strikes me that there is a difference between simply bingeworthy excellence and something that compels you to watch the whole thing all over again twice or more.
Especially since watching a series all over again is quite a waste of time but we do it anyway. Also, just because something is excellent doesn’t mean it stands up to repeat viewing. Some things aren’t superb but their enjoyment hold up better on repeat viewing. For example, Ozark was outstanding but I doubt I’ll watch it again. Wheras Lost is sort of trash but I’ve seen it twice.
Fawlty towers (many times)
Blackadder (all series - several times)
The good life (several times)
Darling buds of May (a couple of times)
Game of thrones - re-watched all previous just before watching the seventh series, and again just before watching the last. May watch again, though the lame ending rather spoils doing so.
As far as I recall at this moment that’s all. But there are some others I wouldn’t mind watching again though not sure how dated they’d feel: The Prisoner, also Not the Nine o’clock News (especially it’s telltale finale), maybe Monty Python - the last two with friends and a lot of alcohol!- maybe Dr Who with Tom Baker, and maybe David Tennant
