Hi,
I have two versions of Asset showing up. How do I get rid of the earlier one?
Cheers,
Martin
You are running two instances of Asset. You’ll need to go into the NAS and turn one off. Unless you need two of course.
Mine is doing this too and I’m definitely not. There is only one version of asset on my pc. And it only has one server.
Edit: took a closer look at the image realised mine is different in that the second one is identically named and has nothing in it. I’m wondering if it’s a remnant from the previous version but since the previous version was deleted my pc isn’t showing it.
HH means “instances”, not versions.
Its possible to have multiple “instances” using just a single installation of your Upnp software.
Open Asset and look within the settings/Instances.
Ok had a look mine only has one listed then a blank space then the create and delete options.
In Asset?
Can you post a screenshot?
Can you highlight the blank line? If so, delete that then take a look.
Have you tried killing the app by swiping it off the screen, then re- starting it?
Yes regularly since the duplication appeared. I think asset had some kind of fit. The day after I updated the asset software I also had a windows update after that I had two of the same server name and they were both empty. I went into asset and there was no source folder listed (no idea where it went) I put the folder back and then one version had everything and the second just sits there empty. It’s not a major issue but it would be nice to get rid of it for neatnesses sake. Maybe a future update will fix it.
Have you tried going in to Asset and stopping it - check it’s gone in the app - and then restarting it. I know what you mean about wanting it tidy, I’m just the same. You just want one.
Thanks so much! That totally fixed it. I didn’t realise I could do that.
Excellent. A tidy app is a happy app.
