Hi does anyone have any ideas about how to resolve this problem?
I’ve had my Nova for 18 months. Initially I streamed a music library comprising ripped CDs stored on an external hard drive connected to my Mac mini on the same network using Asset upnp installed on the Mac mini and controlled by the Naim app on an iPad or iPhone. This worked ok and I had previously used this set up with a Naim Uniti 2 for some years.
I wanted to repurpose the Mac mini so I connected the hard drive directly to the back of the Nova, restarted the Nova and selected ‘use as a music server’ option and it worked ok. I could see my library, artwork and tested a few tunes and all seemed well.
However two days later, I select ‘server’ on the Naim App and I can see the library in the same way but nothing will play when I press the play button on the App.
Anyone come across this and has been able to resolve?

Thanks for response David. That worked! I thought I’d have to do the hard reset. There’s an oddity about how it functions - if I open the booklet sometimes I can’t go back to the track listing and then return to the artist list. Instead I have to come out of the App and go back in. Also, the description text in the booklet is incomplete. Weird but liveable with.
Support told me to select server mode, but no adequate reason given and I gave up. Of course it then serves to network, but if that’s not needed then just presence of usb seems sufficient. As far as I can tell.
Yes, server mode only needs to be on if you have other streamers on your network which you want to give access to that music.
If you just want to play it on the streamer to which the USB drive is attached, simply go to the Server input and select Local Music, where you should see it listed.
The main PSU will still be powered up though, if a USB drive remains attached or if server mode is enabled. That’s the workaround Naim recommend to those who want to keep the streamer permanently warmed up for best sound quality.
(None of which helps the OP with their problem, of course!)
