Connected unity star to my new Samsung tv via the hdmi arc on the back of the tv - I go into sound settings on the tv and select the hdmi arc option and the sound comes from my speakers - great - however when I move from standard tv, say bbc1, to a film on sky movies or a film I’ve taped on the virgin box all I get is a loud hiss from the speakers?? Any ideas anyone
Make sure the tv sound format is set to 2 channel pcm and go down mix any multichannel bitstream. It’s a 2 channel pcm DAC in the star do it can’t handle multichannel or Dolby digital etc…
