Burn in, where the original owner had the clock on, I assume all the time.
Hi David, welcome to the forum. At a guess I’d say that the clock has been left on permanently and has caused some burn in of the OLED screen. It’s usually best with OLEDs to set them to show momentarily when you change a function, but to otherwise switch off, that way things like burn in and eventual fading can be minimised.
