Unsung Heroes/Welcome Guests

The late Alan White on Imagine. Apparently, when Lennon phoned him, White thought it was a prank and told him to eff off. Fortunately, they got past that.

Another Bonnie Raitt guest on I Feel the Same on the album Takin’ My Time.

Actually, it would be closer to describe as Little Feat with Bonnie on vocals but the slide work by Lowell George on this track is sublime.

This made me think, when I originally posted, the idea was around specific tracks. Then this post and some of the LZ ones made me think of albums -
I may be a bit biased regarding Sly and Robbie, after all they were backing musicians, but what would Joe Cocker and Sheffield Steel be without them?
Jackson Browne without David Lindley?

The same is true with Robert Palmer’s album Pressure Drop.

Little Feat being the backing band.

Does anyone think how the Traveling Wilburys would sounded with Jeff Lynne’s input. Like his influence or not he did make them sound like a band than a good highly skilled individual performers.
