Unzip firmware 4.9 for Mac gives a exe file on my Imac

Hi,

I send this message also to Naimsupport.

I’m trying to to unzip the firmware 4.9 Update Guide for Apple Mac Users.

When I unzip I get a exe file for Windows in my Imac.

I use Unzip One app and my software version Imac M1 is Sonoma 14.6.1

I follow the weblink on Naim’s website.

Am I doing something wrong?

Found it!

Mac DMG file is under “Download version 4.9 for PC”

Exe file is under “Download version 4.9 for mac”

Text on the screen my Qute is is reversed during the update.
After update I have a normal screen.

Looks & sounds promising! Hope they did not reverse the firmware as well.

Thanks for the feedback, we’re trying to get the files corrected on the website! They got reversed somehow.

Talking of reversing - the reversed text on the display during firmware update is a known “quirk” on some of the older units.
Some of the displays used over the years are driven the other way around, so the text can appear reversed while in the boot loader. Once the software application is running again, all should be well.

The links are now correct, thanks again for the good spot.

I’ll be around and about the show too, usually there are a few different Naim stands throughout the show, so try and pop into them all. (Especially the main room though)
