I love your AV unit. Looks very sleek. Mine is quite useful as I now have the switch in it to the right with a mass of ethernet cables. I could reduce the length of cables and tidy up the speaker cables and get a different unit.
I think decoration next and then maybe look at improving the AV unit and TV shelf.
For now I am happier with the set up.

Have had grills off all week. Today they are on as I have my 2 year old son here for the weekend.
So on and off. Mainly off 
Would the centre speaker, switch and the Sky box go inside the AV unit, then you could just open the doors when youâre watching a movie.
The sky box is in the media unit. The switch to the right of the centre could move into the media unit.
The centre speaker is too big to go into the media unit.
If the TV was mountable it would look better on the wall and just have the centre speaker on too of the media unit and no shelf.
The best way to tidy things up is probably to get a different wall mountable TV, move the speaker switch into the media unit and then get rid of the shelf. The centre speaker can then be in the middle of the media unit. Would look neater. And I could consider a different media unit possibly. Depends how it looks.
I can move the current TV into the conservatory!
@Dan_M Have just changed our tv unit as the old one just did not look right with a TV longer than the unit⌠a bit like yours.
This is what we had before
The 2nd unit looks better although the sound bar obscures the bottom of the TV. That would bother me.
With my AV unit I donât mind the base unit. I made the shelve and it doesnât look right. The wood has started to bow in the middle and the legs are spreading out. My TV looks a bit high up as well.
My centre speaker is quite high at 21cm so trying to find a unit is difficult.
So my thinking is therefore to change the TV, get rid of the shelf and just have the centre speaker on top of the AV unit, moving the switch into the AV box.
Now moving around has been done I can start to focus on what can be done with existing stuff and what may need changing out.

Itâs the best news I could get @davidf but with cancer there is a risk of it coming back. My Mum went into remission and then cancer spread everywhere and she died aged 54. So it will never be off my mind. However, I feel very positive and am happy.
The speakers have made an enormous change. And also the room set up with lots of space behind the speakers and to the sides has opened up the soundstage.
Previously I was thinking a 52, 252 or 552 was the answer but the speakers and the set up have improved the soundstage.
The NDS sounds the best now. The CDS2 and LP12 2nd. Its clear I would need to spend a fair amount of money to get the LP12 sounding on same level. This wasnât the case before. It all sounded on similar level.
The speakers sound breathtaking as youâd expect from speakers for ÂŁ14k. I paid less than half of that and they are 6 months old mint.
The 135s drive them well, but a 500 would be better.
And a 552 would make it better still.
At the moment enjoying system. Looking at 52s and 252s to buy in near future but not rushing in.
As for LP12 going to leave it for now and let system bed in.
If you want to improve the CDS2, try moving the CD555PS from the NDS and putting that on the CD player. I remember in 2013 when I bought an NDS we did just that at the retailerâs demo room. I nearly didnât bother with the NDS!

Really? With Danâs new speakers? I think there is a strong case for a 500 given the price point.
