Upgrade path

First full Naim system was 272/150X. Then came an XPS DR.

Was that really not even two years ago :grimacing:

1999 brought 102/180/napsc
2004 obtained CDS2 and XPS
got a hicap at some point
2010 got supercap
then got 52 in around 2011 and swapped the CDS2 for ND5XS (biggest mistake)
added 555 in place of XPS
by 2016 had added a 300 and changed CDS2 for NDS
2017 brought SL2s I think, then a second 300 and snaxo and hicap to go active. Turned both 300 to dr, got supercap dr and 555dr to max out on active
Somewhere around here got the 552
Then ND555
December 2020 brought 808 Titans and traded in lots of stuff to pay for it and a 500dr
2021 brought second 555dr
December 2022 got the S1 pre

Thanks Dan, yes the plan is to leave it alone as it’s sounds so damn wonderful and involving. I’m like the OP @Zackwater I have a hard time tearing myself away from listening late into the evening!

I know the 282/250Dr would improve things but I don’t want to mention this to my dealer else he’ll come up with a 282/250 combo or greater for me to try. I can’t afford right now to be tempted. lol

2020 atom with 705s2. 2021 250.2 w dr then 272. 2022 major swap to sn3 ndx2 and wilson tunetots its sooo good for my current space. Hicap dr and xps really elecated the combination. Im content.

I went from 82 HiCap 250 to 82 2 HiCaps then 82 Supercap 2 and 2 x 135s and upgraded from ND5XS with external DAC, to NDS and 555 PS and bought CDS2 and XPS all in a space of 3 months. New speakers and Fraim as well. Was an expensive time! Loved it though. Was such a buzz hearing the transformations.

You are not helping!!! lol

All kidding aside I’m sure your system sounds fantastic and the journey is part of the fun. The temptation will be great this year but I’m strong lol
