4 Fraim Lite shelves, NDX2, XPS DR, Supernait 2, Hi cap DR, Powerline Lite. Retaining the 4 shelf limit what represents a useful upgrade for between £7.5 to £10k?
With a 4 shelf limit you could do 282/200DR. At Classic used prices that would leave plenty of cash for a source upgrade. Maybe swap the XPS for a 555.
Trade the SN2 and HCDR for a 332 and ex demo/used 250….
Pre owned I’d see if a 250dr and 252dr would fit in the space and budget.
Ex dem new classic NSC222 and 250. 8-9k and two shelves left over for future upgrades ……or do 332 and 250 used and stream from a used Atom HE…. A bit left field but really excellent.
The XPS DR coupled to the 252 right?
A 282/250 would be ideal, but you’d need another shelf for the obligatory Hicap or Supercap.
252 needs a supercap. Bruss might have meant 282 (which can run from the hicap).
Only on the Naim forum - no one cares to mention or ask about speakers!
I run an NDX2 with 282/250/HicapDR with XPS and the sound is phenominal. The move up to a 252 will give a slightly softer presentation than the slam of the 282 so that move goes down to taste but does also require a different power supply so you wont be able to use your hicap DR. So I’d definitely recommend the 282/250/Hicap DR option. Magical sound
To be fair, the OP doesn’t bother to include them in their profile.
Rear parcel shelf fitment?
No, a 252 plus sc dr.
For 7.5-10k, and if buying second hand, you could easily get a 252, SCDR and 250DR (or even a 300DR). Or you could get a new classic 222 and 250 amp
They look like Goodmans 6x9s
Start with full Power line
