I’d be interested to know how you get on with the Din to XLR…
Okay !
You know how when something is right you get it straight away . The Vertere redline Four Pin to XLR Hi-cap to Nap 250 cable is one of those things .
Downside. none .
Upside . in no particular order .
An increase in detail , extra Guitars . A big improvement in musicality and phrasing , trumpets sound more like trumpets , vocals have more emotion and texture . The cable is sweet without sounding soft or sugary . Dynamics are better without sounding hash . It’s very neutral but also good at reproducing our old friend Pitch Rhythm and Timing . Along with the micro dynamics that make music more real .
Yeah I bought one .
And I have ordered a four Pin to five Pin for my Pre-fix / Supercap to Nac 282 .
It’s very good !
I’m told the Redline Din to XLR I have is a new improved version of the original Din to XLR Redline . I had not heard the last version and can see nothing new when looking at the cable so I can only assess it on it’s own . It’s a great cable .
As I have already said the published journalist reviews are all very similar in their description of performance and and I recognise this cable from those reviews .
Has anyone compared the Redline RCA-DIN to the Hiline RCA-DIN (not just the lavender)?
not the redline, but other vertere interconnects, also a Naim superlumina
the hi-line is a good interconnect, but a bit outdated. it has the naim sound, but against a vertere sounds a bit distorted in the high frequencies. I sold mine, and upgraded to a naim superlumina. was a no brainer musically and sonically comparing both together.
I use vertere interconnects in all my other systems, one of the best upgrades I did. please read the what hi-fi review, it is spot on i.e very good at preserving the dynamic energy of the music, and without much distortion of the signal.
Yes, I have a redline RCA-RCA between my DG1 and the Phono-1, but a Shawline to the NSC222. deciding what to get to upgrade that.
I have had the Redline (Viking to SN2) for a while now.
As some one mentioned, the difference to Naim Lavender was instant, straight out of box.
As the cable has burnt in the single most striking difference is the clarity and detail in the mids. This becomes even more apparent when listening to vocals. The Lavender was always nice, but the Redline just gives more of everything. All in all a no brainer of an upgrade and probably the cheapest upgrade and bang for buck i have ever done.
This is all very enticing as I have a Redline DIN to XLR here for me to try between HiCap and 250, sadly it’s going to have to wait until after a stag weekend this weekend to try it!
Looking forward to it!

I’m a bit puzzled with a Vertere line regarding din-interconnect options. There seem to be 2 of them - Redline and top HB, does anyone know whether it’s right (no intermediate steps) and what is the price of upper din interconnect?
Signals website has a price list.
HB is 9 times price of redline for the interconnect (£750 vs £7k).
veRum sits in middle at just above £2k.
Coming back on this thread, I now have redlines DG1-phono1-222-250-speakers. The upgrade is incredible. Very clear, well balanced, mid detail and extra bass without any fatigue.
For the value this is really a no-brainer. I don’t know what the HB brings, but it’s not justified in my system. The Redline is based on the pulse R and like the DG TT it brings a lot of the high end Vertere at a decent price.
We’ve had Pulse speaker jumpers for some time, blended very well with our SuperLumina speaker cables.
Since used SuperLumina interconnects (we need DIN-DIN and pair of DIN-XLR) are proving prohibitively expensive, we’re looking at other options.
Jonathan, I’d be very interested in how you get on… I’ve got vertere cables from the power socket to line-in on my 52 for my mg-1, but nowhere else in my system. I guess DIN to XLR would be the obvious next step if I was to go in that direction…
Just had a email from my Vertere dealer . there is a three for two offer on RedLine cables
OK Bokermonz will report back! Just in from a stag weekend, so not sure I could tell the difference between bell wire and Unobtanium Hyperlitz just now! I promise to let you know in due course though ![]()
