Very Worrying

Who can spot the issue with this picture ?

AI generated or cack handed Photoshop?

Both have the sane earings so one or both is fake. The hair and face very obviously don’t match on the left.

First AI generated ad to appear in Vogue. Not a guess just read it on the BBC website.

There’s a strange hand coming in from the right on the left photo

The concern is AI in general I think - especially though for creative individuals such as artists, graphic designers and musicians. Customer service portals will be primarily AI based I suspect and professions where a lot of knowledge is learned and required are also under threat regardless of what developers of assistive AI tech think and say.

You’d think AI should make many things cheaper, but I was surprised to see the ‘creators’ of these AI models were asking ‘low 6 figure’ sums for their work and relying on Instagram for promotion/feedback.

Might be ok in the context of the full image.

Dabbled some months ago with one of the online AI image generators and extra/odd limbs were one of the major flaws in some images.

All very interesting but nobody seems to be concerned with what follows after singularity - given what ‘self-aware intelligent’ humans have wreaked on themselves, other species and the planet generally, the odds don’t look too promising :winking_face_with_tongue:

Hasta la vista, baby :globe_showing_europe_africa::robot:

LOL thats correct

The image on the right looks false, and I guess a “deepfake” of person on left who looks pretty much normal.

Edit: reading other replies I gather both are fake - well one on left is far better done than one on right.

Look on the bright side. At least we soon won’t have to worry about our daughters deciding to chase a career in modelling. It won’t exist.

And for runway shows, they’ll just put C3PO in a G-string and a hat with a three metre wide brim and get him to hobble down the platform.

Humans are stupid it seems, if they are using this sh#. Normalising and socialising the dumbing down of human creativity. Do people no longer have any sense of self respect?

Though I expect we will see a significant number of proper people rejecting the technology all together.

Humans have done evolution in reverse for a few hundred years now.

Survival of the fittest should favour the smartest most able to provide for their offspring. But in humans the inverse happens. The more capable one is, the more likely they are to have less than the required 2.1 children.

The classical concept of iq is based on the notion of a normal distribution, but human advance is not just based on raw intelligence alone.

Yes, I don’t understand the rush to CGI the sh#t out if everything, movies included.

Used sparingly, for a little cost effective creativity or correction, then no problem but as some kind of wholesale, start to finish, cartoon like nonsense product, it’s a fail imo.

Quite true. These days human advance is also based on the ability to follow people with no skills or knowledge on TikTok rather than qualified experts or doctors.

Why should the race to use AI instead of actors, models, artists, and musicians be any different? :joy:

More concerning perhaps is with us who are witness to such images.
AI produced illegal content will put into consideration about ownership.
As an example AI produced child pornography. Will try all. Could be more readily available and could be more accessible.
When content is illegal to look at.
Along with all other “taboo” images that needed the content to be illegally maintained.
If content images dont break any laws, does looking at them matter ?

As I’ve said before, at the point of singularity there will be no way to control AI.
The issue is ignored at all levels. I doubt that John Connor is going to avve us this time :robot::robot::robot::squinting_face_with_tongue:
