The ones you like the best. ProAc K6 Signatures, Wilsons, ATC’s, Magico. You need to listen and decide. Lots of great speakers but You’re the one who’s going to be listening to them. Good Luck.
How about Dynaudio Contour Legacy or Dynaudio Confidence 20. Again how big is your living room. I have Dynadio Heritage Special with my NSC 222 and am very satisfied.
It’s interesting that the link between Naim and Focal has more to do with business matters, rather than audio synergy. My dealer (who shall remain unnamed for obvious reasons) was reluctant to recommend Focal speakers to go with my new 222, I ended up with ATCs and am very happy with the combination.
322/333/NC250/NPX300(2)/NVCTT/Luxman CDP. My room is rather difficult b/c of its construction. I am very satisfied with my Spendor D7.2. There is much to choose from within your budget.
I have completed my Kanta No 2 with a Focal Sub 1000 F. The result is amazingly good. I would recommend trying a subwoofer before you buy new speakers.
@Daan-1975 i have found the NC components to be rather cable sensitive. You might try SarumT or Music interconnects. Less hassle than changing speakers if that solves things.
In the broader sense, it is almost impossible to answer the question. Everyone will recommend what they have, with no idea how they will perform in your room. I have the Spendor D7.2 and really like them but take that recommendation with caution, as again, I have no idea how they will perform in your room.
+1. I’ve been running A5s from a 222 into a 250DR – in fact, I am listening to them at low volume as I type this – and they sound terrific. Given the improvements in the 250NC [edit to add: and of course the 350s!], I imagine that the synergy would be even stronger.
I would be looking to see whether I could get a pair of JBL DD67000 Everests within budget - it should be possible with some patience. Failing that, I’ll take a restored pair of 4343s and pocket the change…
I hope I don’t offend anybody but if your system is a tad bright and lacking bass I’d definitely avoid Kudos and PMC. Kudos has solid bass without bloat but I couldn’t live with the treble. It also sounded nasal to me. The music did not escape the speakers.
PMC speakers I’ve heard were also a little thin sounding to me. Neat is a good shout, heard a pair with NAP 250 modded and the bass was deep and rich. JBL definitely a good speaker to demo. Harbeth is another.
The speaker that I would obviously recommend is the one I have but it’s out of your budget. SW1X Monitor 963 field coil. It’s the most realistic speaker I’ve ever heard. Sorry for the poor choice of word but it’s the only term that describes what I’m hearing.
I suggest listening to PMC MB2SE, though a bit over budget if you buy new, though ex-demo should be well within. On paper the 350s seem like a pretty good match.
