Last weekend I have had a home demo with the Sonus Faber Amati G5’s.
I started with listening to all types of music on my NSS 333 streamer. I noticed immediately a huge difference with the Sopra’s, the sound was rich providing strong balanced bass and no brightness/sharpness on the higher side. Also listening to vinyl was very impressive, I knew that my system could provide much more than the Sopra’s could deliver but I was surprised that the difference is so big.
The Amati’s can easily handle different types of music, where the Sopra’s sounded bright/sharp with some albums (e.g. 80’s music, heavy metal). I have listened to my system for hours and re-discovered a lot of music which sounded not correct on the Sopra’s.
Long story short, I have decided that I will trade in the Sopra’s and keep the Amati’s.

I doubt it. More likely they are just really peeved about being forced to use those pesky Rosbif amplifiers in their testing since they now own the company that makes them.
In France we call British « rosbeef « . What is rosbif in your meaning ?
The same, but I have only seen it spelt Rosbif.
