The first “proper” album that I ever bought. Noticed Somebody to Love features in a Christmas ad (for Visa, I think) last night and thought I’d have to listen to it again.
Tina Turner - Private Dancer - vinyl
This album is absolutely electric to listen to. Never heard it sounding so good, essentially by messing around with the mains plug order and moving the Innuos Zenith to the ring main. Got a mixed bag of power cords down to kettle type on lesser boxes like the Rega Aria.
Phil
Dave, no beating needed, it is indeed a fine album!
Supremely gifted (now sadly departed) soul singer, anthologised.
Cassandra Wilson
New Moon Daughter
Edward
Rodney Crowell - Texas
Made with the help of The Meters, and produced by Allen Toussaint, this gem from '73 was Mac’s biggest-selling album of his career.
Derek And The Dominos - The Layla Sessions, currently playing disc two which comprises jams, alternate takes and outtakes, Clapton at a peak ?.
Well…I never though I would do this…after nearly 20 years I dragged out the Brothers in Arms album…I originally played it to death…and could not stomach listening to it again…until now… and I have to say it’s a fantastic album…still…
Original vinyl
Why? Exposing my inner Goth.

Doors IOW: quite controversial tho because of overdubbed drums and the motorbike dub - caused some debate over on Hoffman!
Edit: Gris Gris is great ain’t it.
I have the mono Chris Bellman cut…but I’d like to hear it in stereo!
