Started with some old material today…
Wonderful isn’t it
PtP good call, know this one?
Barney Kessel guitar, Irv Cottler drums, bass Red Mitchell, sublime
Fleetwood Mac
Rumours
Been a while since I played any Fleetwood MAC so thought I would start with this classic album.
Edward
Is this the same guy? I thought he played bass with Chick Corea?
Thelonious Monk - Misterioso
I love the angularity of Monk’s music. It’s so unpredictable, with unthinkable chord inversions, frequently changing direction, yet with such tight timekeeping. This one recorded August 1958 at the Five Spot Cafe, NYC.
I only have his greatest hits, I’ll investigate. Cheers. ![]()
Interesting guy, he’s cued up next.
Thanks @Martinzero and @Pete_the_painter…ordered a couple of cd,s…gap in my collection👍
On CD. This became a big hit on the 90’s and the 2nd movement has been overused in TV/film prodductions but the symphony still hangs together well as a whole imo.
Thanks for the reminder. I bought that many years ago, but it did nothing for me then. I’ll have to give it another spin.
