That’s one famous birthday I always remember being one day after mine - but many years before!

Talitha Rise - An Abandoned Orchid House

Haunting contemporary folk from Sussex, with an occasional nod toward psych. A soothing balm after Swallow The Sun, the astounding recommendation from @Slim68.

Thanks for this Dan, I’ll investigate. The only GIZEH release I have is this on vinyl, it’s wonderful.

The penultimate album that I was introduced to last week. This is atmospheric and a delight. Dbpoweramp in her wisdom considers this to be jazz, whatever is its genre it is a pleasure.

Because-its sunny, the music is bouncy, upbeat and everything else I’ve played today has already been posted.

Mary Chapin Carpenter - Songs From The Movie

This is rather lovely. Mary’s soft and delicate vocals never get drowned out by the the large-scale orchestral backing, but you still get the majesty of the orchestra at full tilt. Very clever production.
