Pearl Jam’s latest album - Gigaton. Very good album. 3 sides on vinyl, with an inscription on side d which I have googled and understand relates to there having been 5 mass extinctions on earth so far.
Well, I had to ask, hadn’t I? Not her biggest fan but thanks for satisfying my curiosity.
Early in the day but I’ve had a few glasses of red for medicinal purposes (very sore back), and the interesting part was me actually being a bit wary of playing it because of the junction between expected lead in and playable area I mentioned above.
Appreciate she’s not to everyone’s taste and I’m not one generally to go for picture discs. I was actually buying something else when this popped up unexpectedly in ‘others purchased’ and I though it might be interesting to try especially as cheaper than the standard release.
Beethoven, Piano Sonatas. “Pathétique”, “Moonlight”, and “Appassionata”. Alfred Brendel, original Philips LP
I bought that album around 1977 and it has been played on a regular basis ever since. Brendel’s performance is stellar and sound quality surprisingly good in spite of the heavy usage. I have yet to hear a better recording of those famous sonatas.

‘I have made a place’ by Bonnie Prince Billy. Big fan of BPB but this release of a year ago somehow passed me by. V good and he almost sounds cheery on it
