Stephan Micus - White Night

Stephan Micus (Guitars, Duduk and Bass Duduk, Cymbals, Kalimba, Sinding, Dondon, Voice, Cane Whistles, Nay).

Streaming on NAS… going with Stephan’s 2019 release to end the day. From the ECM description, “23rd album for ECM and on each one he composes the tracks, plays and overdubs them to create unique and exquisite pieces of chamber music.” The music works well before heading off to dream land…

Simply beautiful… 1969 psychedelic/hippie/folk at it’s best.

In fact it’s so good I’ve had to play it twice

Like this, quality musicianship, upbeat, melodic earworm stuff. Nice.

*Acoustic versions of songs are rather fine too.

First listen, bought it yesterday in eclassical daily deals. It completes the Beethoven Cycle of Sudbin for me. The Mozart concert is a bonus.

Patricia Barber - Cafe Blue

My favourite of the one album I have. I must stream from Qobuz before I cancel my second trial because I don’t use it enough as I enjoy the 500 CD albums I own and the vinyl.
