Streaming on Qobuz (44.1/16)… moving along this afternoon with Nils and his fantastic ‘Khmer’ album which is sounding sublime this afternoon! Lifting the mood as the work week is coming to an end and heading towards the weekend… the stay at home weekend of course… ahhhhhhhhh… thank goodness for the music!
Love the company… this is one fine album and would love to see this one performed live, preferably outdoors. Love Nils trumpet and the beat along with the guitars, percussion and electronics, very, very nice!
Streaming on Qobuz (44.1/16)… continuing on this late afternoon with more from Nils and he and this group of musicians are sounding fabulous! A wonderful way to wander slowly into the weekend, just loving the music…
This is one of the first albums my wife and I really bonded over (after The Beatles). So much so that when she designed my wedding ring, she had “Love Reign O’er Me” inscribed on the inside!
Pretty Things. Parachute. Although I was a big fan of the earlier r n b days this is the album I reached for first on hearing of the sad death of Phil May.
I just love this EP from 1964 and the golden age of the early Stones, My brother and I used to play it to death on our Dansette record player in our bed room through the mid 60’s. I still have the EP but, unfortunately, not the record player.
