This young man is the person Quincy Jones said was the most talented musician he had ever met, and promptly signed him up. He has done so much creatively since this release in 2016 it is mind boggling, his fans include Herbie Hancock and Pat Metheny, and myself! He has been called a ‘musicians musician’ with numerous comments on his youtube channel of ‘How did he do that?’
He is from London, can play multiple instruments, does harmonising/multi-tracking with himself, makes and edits most of his own videos. He doesn’t always get it right, but this is where he started. There is plenty newer good stuff to find too - investigation of JC, might reward you with some great new music. I have seen 3 of his live shows - all a jaw dropping wonderful experience.
Oh, and he has won 4 Grammys in the last 3 years.
But apart from that Geoff, what has he to recommend him? ![]()
I’ll go and check him out, thanks.
Incredible string band. Wee Tam and the Big huge. Favourite album from my favourite band. Transported back to 1968 when it was all peace and love and nothing bad was happening in the world.![]()

Holst died in London on 25 May 1934, at the age of 59, of heart failure following an operation on an ulcer. His ashes were interred at Chichester Cathedral in Sussex, close to the memorial to Thomas Weelkes, his favourite Tudor composer. Bishop George Bell gave the memorial oration at the funeral, and Vaughan Williams conducted music by Holst and himself.

Some beautiful Ronnie Lane tracks, debris with Stewart on backing vocals…wonderful. Or Rod just full on.
Boz Scaggs . A fool to care. Thanks seakayaker. Thoroughly enjoyed ![]()
Thx almost missed it
I totally agree - Brendel is the best Beethovenian of all pianists I know. I heard him live at age 88 or so playing Concerto No. 3 and it was a stellar performance.
