Steve Lukather and Larry Carlton Live in Osaka
Reworking pieces by Jeff Beck, Mikes Davis and Larry Carlton himself, these two complement each other way better than you might expect. Alongside his first solo album, this is my favourite album by Mr 335.
For the guitar players: there’s an example in The Pump where Larry plays the first harmonic of a fretted D (second string, third fret) and slides to an E. I’d not heard that technique before hearing this.
