City Sun Eater In The River Of Light - Woods

The utterly magnificent Woods branch out (sorry!) into new sonic terrain, but in-spite of a tiny bit more studio polish than is customary they retain a heavy residue of their lo-fi, homegrown charms.

One of my fave guitar bands of the last decade. Each album is like a minor classic novel by a favourite writer; it’s charms revealed if you’re patient enough.

The Third Mind - Third Mind

Not sure who mentioned this album in the “best 2020 album” thread but it is great. The guitar is to die for.

Alan that’s a new name to me but you just know I won’t be able to resist putting it in the Q.
Will report back if I like it.

Glad you enjoy it.

It was a casual discovery some weeks ago because I really liked Josh Nelson’s piano on the below album which is another voice + piano with Sara Gazarek (I like her music a lot). It’s not on Tidal but available on Bandcamp.

@igahman can I suggest this Doyle and Bob Dylan’s guitarist Charlie Sexton with Stevie Ray Vaughan’s band.

Thank you Zinc. As I said before I bought the standard edition and was so knocked out by the 16 minute East west I had to also get the first edition which has 2 extra mixes of the track.
Not to everybody’s taste but my favourite album from 2020.

Arcangels. Thanks Andy. I’ve actually had this lined up for many months so probably picked up on one of your earlier posts. I need to get more organasized. Fast tracked and d/l to front of Q.

Hope you enjoy Graham, once you go down the DB II rabbit hole you will find he is a popular chap and pops up all over lending his guitar and production skills to many a release.

I’ve had a rotten day and when I combine that with a couple of drinks I turn into John Martyn so thanks to those who have brought me back. You know who you are. Love music, love this thread.
