@Neil0001 i think it was @TheKevster that introduced me to Jazz Sabbath which I love and bought on first listen.
I asked the question if the forum about anything similar which led to these 2 albums
Second listen for me and it’s sounding much better this time. Could be something to do with joint (beef) I smoked (Hickory) in the garden this evening. Also the wine Mrs. G. made me drink.
Tell me about it ChifChaf. I think I’ve mentioned here before, Van’s not so famous gig here in Sydney in the mid 1980’s (only time he ventured down under) where it took him 30 minutes to come onstage whilst his poor band members strummed away, when he did he turned his back on the audience for the entire gig.
I’ve seen Van many times, when he’s good he’s brilliant, have seen him when he was drinking heavily…pint glasses of red wine on stage continously topped up by roadie…then he was really bad. First time was Knebworth 1974, he was fantastic. When he’s on form he holds the audience in the palm of his hand.
The Van CD rack ( incomplete).
Bob Dylan - Rough and Rowdy Ways - release vinyl
His Bobness’s lockdown 2020 release, and I think it’s one of his finest, up there lyrically with his best work.
