What are you listening to in 2022 and why might anyone be interested

Absolutely Dread and there’s no way in the world I’m going to repeat the donut joke.:joy:
BTW it’s probably no surprise that I chose to play Toots after playing Ernest Ranglln “Below the bassline “ yesterday.

Of course, I did spot that. Although this is the second joke in two days here that has gone straight over my head :joy:

You now need to play Skatalites Ball Of Fire, King Tubby Meets The Rockers Uptown, Heart Of The Congo’s, The Aysinnians Satta Amassagana, Johnny Clarke None Shall Escape The Judgement, Burning Spear Black Disciples. Listen to those and you will better appreciate Below The Bassline.

If you can find them the other Island Jamaica Jazz titles are also all excellent but beware the recent Universal Japan re issues of Below The Bassline and Yard Movement.

Also if you enjoy Below The Bassline this Live set comes highly recommended..

I could go on (and on) but I’ll resist the urge to get carried away

Thanks for the recommendation.
The artist can sing, write, and play.
I’ve turned several friends on to him and everyone’s enjoying him.
Thanks
